    Andover Admissions Tour Guide Ambassador

I give weekly tours to prospective students and families at Phillips Academy Andover. I research attendees' backgrounds and personalize my campus tours and presentations to their interests. I give them information about the buildings, culture, academic, and athletic opportunities on campus. This enables me to speak confidently and concisely in the tour's 40 minutes.

Dorm Prefect and DEI Class Leader

As an 11th grader, I was chosen to co-prefect my dorm of 16 freshmen and sophomores. In this role, I act as a pillar of support for new students transitioning to a rigorous boarding school experience, challenges throughout the year, planning dorm events, and communicating with dorm faculty. Another student leadership role, an "EBI (Equity Balance and Inclusion) Upper", focuses on promoting community norms in student and teacher-facilitated classes of 9th graders. I take leadership training for both of these roles.

    Andover Student Alumni Representative

I work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan Alumni Awards of Distinction at All School Meetings, connect alumni through an extensive network, and plan events for alumni weekend and class gifts. I have welcomed alumni for the 2024 Alumni Award of Distinction

    Andover Bread Loaf Writing Workshop

In the Winter of 2022, I participated in the Bread Loaf Writing Workshop through Andover Bread Loaf and the Community Engagement Office. I traveled to South Lawrence (MA) East Elementary once a week and worked with second graders in the classroom, encouraging them to creatively answer prompts and writing, spelling, and communication skills. Growing up without siblings or the presence of younger children brought me out of my comfort zone and taught me how to support students by empowering their writing abilities.

    Event Coordinator

    Cluster Olympics

I worked over the summer and school year to plan the first-ever Cluster Olympics at Phillips Academy. I organized team-bonding events with over 1200 students and faculty over multiple days, fostering connections within small, dorm-based, and large, school-wide communities. I communicated with student and faculty leaders to divide leadership roles and organized meals, games, technology, and even cluster uniforms to create a night of competition and unity to kick off the 2024-2025 school year.

    Andover and Abbot at 50

I organized an Alumni Event for the 50th anniversary of the merger of my school with the girls' school. We organized a brunch separated by career, exploring the pathways after Andover and Abbot Academies that Alumni have taken. To do this, I helped research, manage, and connect with alumni. I also presented a personal research project at that brunch highlighting values before, during, and because of the merger and how we can learn from them at our institution today.

    Club Board Member

    Andover Women in Finance

I work with other board members to organize supplemental materials for club meetings and improve presentations to make financial literacy accessible on campus and to a wider audience.

    Andover Rock Climbing Society

After spending most of my childhood climbing and bouldering, I plan and lead ARCS club meetings and activities by instructing and supervising climbing activities.

    High School and Middle School

Before Philips Academy, I ran track, cross-country, and played soccer for Blue Mountain Middle School. I also played soccer for Evergreen Youth Soccer Club throughout my middle-school career, playing on the u13 team through the u19 team.

In my ninth-grade year at Philips Academy, I varsity-lettered in cross-country, wrestling, and track. I won a silver medal at the New England Prep Championship and qualified for the National Prep-school Championship. As a sophomore, I played soccer. As a junior, I run Varsity Cross Country.

2024 Learning in the World: Buenos Aires

June 2024: I studied in Buenos Aires for June through an academic program. Here, I explored the city and surrounding Argentinian culture while living with a host family and improving my Spanish language proficiency. I returned from this trip with improved fluency, a broader world perspective, and strong connections, and I am now a "Learning in the World Ambassador" for my school. I promote the program at All School Meetings and work with my school to continue sending students on trips like these.

    Plazas and Community Hubs

    La Plaza de Mayo

My group visited many community centers and neighborhoods around Buenos Aires. We observed and interacted with people and vendors, and observed public social demonstrations.

    Libraries and Museums

    El Ateneo

I visited bookshops, art and history museums, and cultural centers in and outside of Buenos Aires. We also took a trip to the countryside to an Estancia to learn about more rural life outside of the city.

    Peer-to-Peer Connection

    La Salle Florida

I visited two schools and met students my age. We talked in English and Spanish about cultural and personal similarities and differences. I have kept in touch with some of my new friends after returning to the United States,

    Excursions

    IguazĂș

We took a weekend trip to the province of Misiones. We visited an ecological reserve; the "triple borders" of Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina; and one of the seven natural wonders of the world: the waterfalls of IguazĂș.
